Privacy
Milepad has no accounts and no database. The trips you type are processed in your browser and are not sent to our server.
What is stored
Free: nothing. Pro: your log is saved in your browser's local storage so it is there next time, and you can save it to a file. A cookie named ml_pro proves you paid. It holds a Stripe checkout session id and a signature, and it is HttpOnly.
What leaves your browser
When you press the distance lookup, the two addresses you typed go to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service and then to the OSRM demo router. Their own policies apply. Results are cached in your browser. On Pro checks, our server asks Stripe whether your checkout session is paid.
Payments are handled by Stripe, which sees your card details. We never do. Hosting is on Vercel, which keeps ordinary request logs. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
