A mileage log the taxman can read.
Type your trips, paste them from a spreadsheet, or repeat a weekly route. Milepad adds them up at the 2026 IRS, HMRC or French rate and prints a report with the dates, the places and the total. Nothing to sign up for.
VehiclesPRO for more than one
Free keeps 20 trips and one vehicle, and nothing is saved when you close the tab. Pro removes the limit and adds XLSX, several vehicles, recurring routes and saved logs: $29 a year or $4.99 a month.
- IRS standard mileage rates, irs.gov/tax-professionals/standard-mileage-rates: 2026 business 72.5 cents (Jan 1 to Jun 30) and 76 cents (Jul 1 to Dec 31), medical 20.5 and 23.5 cents, charity 14 cents (IR-2026-29, IR-2025-128). 2025: business 70, medical 21, charity 14 cents.
What the report shows
Every line has the date, start, destination, business purpose and distance, which is what the IRS and HMRC ask a mileage record to hold. The page shows the rate it used for each trip and where that rate comes from. You can check the sum with a calculator.
Rates change in the middle of the year sometimes. The IRS moved the business rate from 72.5 to 76 cents on July 1, 2026, and HMRC lifted its car rate from 45p to 55p for trips from 6 April 2026. Milepad picks the rate from each trip's date.
